Edinburgh Cyber Security Leader Joins Gender Diversity Initiative

The Edinburgh headquartered cybersecurity services firm Adarma has become the latest industry heavyweight to give its backing to the newly launched “Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security” programme.

The cross-sector initiative, supported by The Scottish Government, Scottish Digital Academy, 和 tech industry body Scotl和IS, has been developed to build a collaborative 和 powerful community of potential 和 emerging women leaders in cybersecurity 和 information governance roles across Scotl和, helping to address the long-st和ing lack of women working within one of Scotl和’s most critical 和 fastest-growing sectors.

The initial three-month intensive leadership programme brings together 20-24, early-mid career cybersecurity 和 information management professionals, who have been selected from a national open application process which attracted interest from applicants across sectors as diverse as financial services, 能源及公用事业, 电信, 政府, 和健康.

The final make-up of the participants will be decided by the initiative’s Programme Panel, which meets this week to review applications. That Panel is made up of senior figures in the cybersecurity community from across 政府 和 industry, 包括 席亚拉米切尔, Head of Cyber Security at Scotl和 IS, The Scottish Government’s Head of Cyber Resilience 政策, 克莱尔·艾尔·阿泽比 和 罗兹-布里顿, Head of 人才 Attraction 和 Capability for the Digital Profession at The Scottish Government, alongside senior representatives from industry partners 包括 Morgan Stanley, NCC Group 和 the newly joined Adarma.

Adarma, one of the leading independent cybersecurity service providers in the UK, has repeatedly stressed its commitment to improving levels of diversity 和 inclusion within the cybersecurity sector.
